Thermal Inspections in the Greater Toronto Area

Ontario New Home Owners
The "Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act" outlines the warranty protection that builders
must provide by law, to their customers.

This Home Warranties Plan is administered by Tarion Warranty Corporation, who provides an
excellent reference document called "Construction Performance Guidelines". These guidelines
address many possible conditions and are intended to help new homeowners understand which
work and material  defects are covered under the statutory warranty.

A new home inspection can assist the homeowner to determine possible deficiencies that are
covered under the 1 Year and 2 Year warranty plans, as outlined in the guide relating to
moisture, insulation, air leaks and electrical issues.

An infrared home inspection during construction can reveal areas of heat loss which can be
corrected before drywall is installed.
