In February 2012 RCI Infrared Services completed an infrared inspection of the
Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. Once home to R. Samuel McLaughlin (founder of
General Motors Canada). This stately 55 room mansion was built circa 1915,
is a Canadian National Historic Site and Ontario Heritage Site.
In buildings especially old buildings, moisture can be a daunting and costly
problem. The infrared scan at Parkwood was performed to help the Parkwood
determine if there were any hidden issues that required attention,
also to confirm previous issues had indeed be fixed and cosmetic repairs could
Parkwood can now use the report from RCI Infrared Services to prioritize repairs
and resolve issues found during the scan. The report is an excellent reference for
repairs and maintenance.
Parkwood Estate and grounds are open to the public, for more information visit
